TAA Orientation Notice - MSSC
The U.S. Department of Labor has determined the workers of MSSC US, Inc. in Hopkinsville, KY are eligible to apply for individual TAA benefits and services. Workers who separated MSSC ‐ Hopkinsville, who are engaged in activities related to the production stabilizer bar and coil springs, including on‐site leased workers from Luttrell, Staff Easy, and Wise Staffing, Hopkinsville, Kentucky on or after June 9, 2019, until the expiration date of November 20, 2022, are eligible to apply for individual TAA benefits and services under petition number 95977. Reemployment services are available for any worker threatened by layoff from MSSC, on or after June 9, 2019.

The Kentucky Career Center staff will also need the following documents, once you begin services.

The TAA program offers the following services and benefits:
- Reemployment Services before or after your layoff date;
- Assessment of your education, skills, abilities, and employment goals;
- Job Search allowances(out‐of‐area job search)
- Relocation allowances;
- Training Allowances (Payment of tuition, books, and fees) upon approval of training;
- Income support payments through Unemployment Insurance and Trade Readjustment Allowances;
- Reemployment Trade Adjustment Assistance (RTAA) program for workers age 50 or older.

3. A link will appear for you to click to watch the Trade Orientation Video.
4. Click the link to view. The video will reference the application form you will complete at the end (item #2) and the Trade Worker handbook (item #4). You can download, print or save the Trade worker handbook at any time to make notes or follow along.
5. Please read instructions, watch video and follow all four (4) steps. Mail or Email Application, as soon as possible! If you need a copy of the Trade handbook printed for you, contact the individuals below.

1. A current, valid government issued, photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport)
2. Social Security Card (Your name must match the photo ID)

2. Notice of layoff date or separation documents from MSSC US Inc.

Certain benefits have critical deadlines that must be met. It is important that you complete the orientation (in person or by video), application page, and provide Identity verification and return it as soon as possible.A brochure on the Trade (TAA) program is included.
