Warrior Coal Hiring Event

Join us for a Hiring Event on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 8 am to 5 pm at the Merle Travis Music Center located at 750 Cleaton Road in Powderly, KY.  Interviews will be conducted on-site.  Positions available are listed below.

Prep Plant Rotating Shift and Third Shift Maintenance Openings
There are currently open positions in maintenance for  Rotating Shift and Third Shift Maintenance at the Warrior Coal Preparation Plant. Individuals interested in this position must meet the qualifications listed below.
Skills - Required

• Proficient in the use of cutting torch and welder
• Proficient in the use of hand tools
• General knowledge of conveyor belt operation and maintenance

Skills – Preferred (must be able and willing to learn)

• Dozer operation and maintenance
• Prep Plant operation and maintenance
• Train Loadout operation and maintenance

Physical Abilities:

• Ability to lift in excess of fifty pounds
• Ability to climb and work off ladders, catwalks, and man-lifts
• Ability to work in confined areas
• Ability to climb stairways

Work Schedule Requirements:

• Willing to work third shift or rotating shift. (open position for each)
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends and holidays when necessary

Job Qualifications:

• Proven history of safe work practices
• Kentucky Surface Miner Certification (or willing to attain)
• Kentucky MET Certification (preferred)
• Kentucky Mine Electrical Card (or able and willing to obtain within 6 months)
